This six-day, seven-night Iceland Photography Tour has been planned with photographer in the center. We’ll go where light is at it’s best or getting you to where we’ll have clear skies to watch and photograph the Aurora Borealis. We will be based on the South Coast, where we will be visiting a few of Iceland’s most iconic locations. We’ll be visiting waterfalls, glaciers, icebergs on the black sand beach at Jokulsarlon, Icelandic Horses and much more.

As with all my photo tours & workshops I like to keep the numbers small, and this photo tour is limited to only four people! This allows me to spend more one on one time with you, helping you with any questions you may have.

During downtime or bad weather I’ll be sharing my processing techniques using both Adobe Lightroom & Photoshop so if you have a Laptop feel free to bring it along.

Photographer & Guide
I may have been born in Ireland, but Iceland is where my heart is.  I’ve been travelling to and photographing Iceland now since July 2015 and since then I’ve been 5 times and I truly can’t get enough. From the waterfalls on the South Coast, to the mountains in West to the famous Jokulsarlon glacial lagoon with its icebergs to the many black sand beaches – it really is a photographers paradise.  I’ve clocked up thousands of miles and many many hours driving on the Icelandic “roads” from the south's paved roads, to the east's gravel roads, to the rocky highland roads.  Elsewhere in Finland & Norway, I’ve over 3 months of driving experience on snow & ice, in blizzards and in complete whiteout conditions.  Not only am I an experienced photographer and driver, but I’ve also worked professionally as a Northern Lights Tour Guide 300 miles North of the Arctic Circle in Finland.  When it comes to chasing the Northern Lights with my clients, I’ve got a 100% success rate, I got them exactly where they needed to be and that was with clear skies, or into position waiting for them to appear.

Who is this Workshop & Photography Tour for?

This workshop is aimed at photographers who want to improve and take their landscape photography to the next level. You will learn how I plan my sunrise & sunset shoots, how to focus for maximum DOF, you’ll learn more about composition, rule of thirds, leading lines, how & when to use filters, long exposure photography. During the night you will learn how to focus in the darkness, how to shoot really long exposures, how to create star trails and how to shoot the majestic northern lights!

This is not a sight seeing tour or a beginner’s photography course where you learn the basics of Photography such as aperture, shutter speed and ISO. You MUST already understand the exposure triangle, how it works and how each of the settings affect each other. This is not a luxury holiday where we spend time relaxing by the pool and topping up our tan.

This is a photography workshop intended for like minded people who share a passion for shooting landscapes, both the classic spots but also the not so classic spots. We’ll spend a week living together, eating together, shooting together, sharing our stories, sharing our passion for photography. This will be an intense trip, we’ll be shooting when the light is at it’s best and that’s during sunrise & sunset, we’ll be shooting in all conditions from rain, hail and snow to those rare blue skies. We’ll sleep when we can, when the light is at it’s worst.

I can guarantee you by the end of the week, you’ll be going home with new friends, great images but you’ll also be ready for a good sleep 😉

Payment Terms

Your deposit of £315 GBP will secure your place on this workshop. The balance of £945 GBP is due by 1st February 2018. All of my standard terms and conditions apply.
