27th Jan – 3rd February 2020
Maximum of 4
Shared, Twin Beds
Lets embark upon an adventure to photograph the wonders Iceland has to offer with her majestic northern lights, ice covered black sand beaches and her unique landscape.
This Iceland Photography Tour has been planned with the photographer right in the center, we’ll go where the light is at it’s best or getting you to where you’ll have clear skies to watch and photograph the Aurora Borealis. Although we are working from a fixed itinerary, do not despair, it won’t be a case of getting 15 minutes to photograph each location, we’ll have plenty of time to explore the areas and if we’re driving down the road and you spot something you like, then we can and will stop!
Also included in this photo tour is a private ice cave photography tour which will be guided by local guides. I only work with qualified Glacier Guides this ensures that we get to the best Ice Cave but also ensuring safety and expert local knowledge.
Our accommodation for the duration of the photography tour we will be conveniently located only 10 minutes from Vik which is central to a lot of the locations we will be visiting. Accommodation is based on sharing and it is twin beds.
As with all my Iceland Photo Tours & Workshops I like to keep the numbers small, and this photo tour is limited to only four people! This allows me to spend more one on one time with you, helping you with any questions you may have.
Our transport for the week will be in a Land Rover Discovery 😎
|GROUP SIZE||Minimum of three, maximum of four.|
|SKILL LEVEL||From Amateurs to Professionals.|
|FITNESS LEVEL||Easy/Moderate, some locations will be slippery and uneven ground. All locations within 15 minutes walking distance of our 4×4. Ice caves: Moderate/Hard.|
* Where possible I’ll rent a house which we’ll all stay in together. Kitchen facilities are available for home cooking meals and bedrooms are based on sharing with another guest (twin beds).
This Iceland Photography Tour does not have a fixed a fixed itinerary, and is subject to the local weather conditions at the time.
2 weeks before the photo tour starts, I will email you through a rough itinerary, but from my many years leading photography tours in Iceland, these never go to plan!
The day that we’ll be shooting at the Vatnajökull Ice Caves will also be confirmed before the tour starts.
I’ve got a 5 star rating across the board! Here’s what past attendees have to say.
This workshop is aimed at photographers who want to improve and take their landscape photography to the next level. You’ll learn more about composition, rule of thirds, leading lines, how & when to use filters, long exposure photography. During the night you will learn how to focus in the darkness, how to shoot really long exposures, how to create star trails and how to shoot the majestic northern lights!
This is not a sight seeing tour or a beginner’s photography course where you learn the basics of Photography such as aperture, shutter speed and ISO. You MUST already understand the exposure triangle, how it works and how each of the settings affect each other. This is not a luxury holiday where we spend time relaxing by the pool and topping up our tan.
This is a photography workshop intended for like minded people who share a passion for shooting landscapes, both the classic spots but also the not so classic spots. We’ll spend a week living together, eating together, shooting together, sharing our stories, sharing our passion for photography. This will be an intense trip, we’ll be shooting when the light is at it’s best and that’s during sunrise & sunset, we’ll be shooting in all conditions from rain, hail and snow to those rare blue skies. We’ll sleep when we can, when the light is at its worst.
I can guarantee you by the end of the week, you’ll be going home with new friends, great images but you’ll also be ready for a good sleep 😉
