Lets embark upon an adventure to photograph the wonders Iceland has to offer with her majestic northern lights, ice covered black sand beaches and her unique landscape.

This 7 night Iceland Photography Tour will start off on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula where we’ll be spending the next 2 nights, we’ll then venture towards the South Coast for a further 2 nights, and then move further north & east up as far as Vestrahorn for another 2 nights. We’ll be visiting a few of the country’s most beautiful & iconic locations, to name but a few but not limited to; Kirkjufell, Kirkjufellsfoss, Lóndrangar sea cliffs, Seljalandsfoss, Skogafoss, Reynisdrangar Sea Stacks, Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon & Diamond Beach and the almighty, Vestrahorn Mountain. At night, we’ll be chasing those majestic northern lights.

This Iceland Photography Tour has been planned with the photographer right in the center, we’ll go where the light is at it’s best or getting you to where we’ll have clear skies to watch and photography the Aurora Borealis. Although we are working from a fixed itinerary, do not despair, it won’t be a case of getting 15 minutes to photograph each location, we’ll have plenty of time to explore the areas and if we’re driving down the road and you spot something you like, then we can and will stop!

As with all my Iceland Photo Tour & Workshops I like to keep the numbers small, and this photo tour is limited to only four people! This allows me to spend more one on one time with you, helping you with any questions you may have.

Still not convinced?

I’ve got a 5 star rating across the board! Here’s what past attendees have to say.

  • My husband and I recently spent 7 days with Tyler in Iceland on a photography tour. What an amazing experience!! Not only did we manage to capture the northern lights but Tyler made sure that we visited and experienced some of the best photography sites the Iceland south coast has to offer. We encountered some harsh weather which led to roads being closed but Tyler was innovative in his approach to make sure that we then captured sites closed to where we lived keeping our safety as a primary concern. He was on hand to offer advice on camera settings but he was never intrusive to our own style and that was really appreciated. We will definitely tour with him again either in Ireland or Iceland. He is a cool guy and tour guide!

  • What can I say! This was my 4th trip to Iceland. Decided to join Tylers Photography Tour this time in an effort to improve my landscape photography and Tyler didn't disappoint. Tyler spent time with each one of us and made sure that we were in the best locations at the best times and we had the added bonus of seeing Puffins, Whales and the Northern Lights. Would highly recommend one of his tours. Thanks Tyler

  • I recently returned from a 7 day photographic tour of Iceland, expertly led by Tyler. He brought us to some amazing sights along Iceland's southern coast. With Tyler providing much-appreciated photographic guidance throughout - particularly around composition, using filters, metering & post-processing. During our visit, we had some challenging weather conditions but Tyler's knowledge of the area allowed him to adapt our itinerary and help ensure that we made of the most of our time on the island. I look forward to taking part in future trips/workshops with Tyler.

  • Just back from the the Iceland workshop taken by Tyler. i must say i have never experienced anything like it. From the time we met Tyler at the airport to the end of the 5 day/4 night stay in Iceland everything was planned to perfection ie tyler hired a mini bus with plenty of room for everybody. We stayed in Log Cabins which had everything from warm showers to comfortable beds and all mod cons for cooking. Tyler drove us to the locations and helped us setup our cameras and what to look for. Thanks Tyler for everything and what a stunning place iceland.

  • I participated in Tyler's Iceland workshop last week and have to say I had the most AMAZING 4 days. Tyler's knowledge of photography and Iceland were invaluable to making the whole experience so memorable. He is very patient, courteous and never left a location until we were all happy with our shots. He would review our images and offer advice and encouragement. He drove long distances to make sure we covered as many of the photo opportunities that the varied landscape of Iceland has to offer. I'd have no hesitation in recommending Tyler's Iceland workshop and hope to do another in the future.

  • What an amazing week that was ! I already visited Iceland once in the past but a dedicated photography workshop really makes a huge difference. And Tyler is no stranger to the success of last week workshop. First keeping voluntarily the number of participants low (we were 4) makes the experience more 1-to-1 style, more personal. Easier to get advice on composition, equipment,….. Tyler really works hard for everybody to have a wonderful time and to get back home with pictures to be happy with, sometimes driving very long distance just to get the right light at the right moment. He also constantly adapts the schedule to both weather conditions and participants wishes. Don’t be deter by the relative lower prices compared to the crazy expensive 15-participants workshop one finds on internet. This just makes the choice of Tyler’s workshop even more straightforward. Would I go for another workshop with Tyler ? Tomorrow without any hesitation! Thank you Tyler ! Thank you ! Thank you !

  • Just came back from Iceland from one of Tylers workshop and had the time of my life. I learnt so much from this workshop. Tyler was very attentive to all that were on the group, answered all my questions without hesitation. If you are looking to have more knowledge in photography this workshop is exactly what you want and need. You will go back home wanting more. Thank you for all.

Who is this Workshop & Photography Tour for?

This workshop is aimed at photographers who want to improve and take their landscape photography to the next level. You will learn how I plan my sunrise & sunset shoots, how to focus for maximum DOF, you’ll learn more about composition, rule of thirds, leading lines, how & when to use filters, long exposure photography. During the night you will learn how to focus in the darkness, how to shoot really long exposures, how to create star trails and how to shoot the majestic northern lights!

This is not a sight seeing tour or a beginner’s photography course where you learn the basics of Photography such as aperture, shutter speed and ISO. You MUST already understand the exposure triangle, how it works and how each of the settings affect each other. This is not a luxury holiday where we spend time relaxing by the pool and topping up our tan.

This is a photography workshop intended for like minded people who share a passion for shooting landscapes, both the classic spots but also the not so classic spots. We’ll spend a week living together, eating together, shooting together, sharing our stories, sharing our passion for photography. This will be an intense trip, we’ll be shooting when the light is at it’s best and that’s during sunrise & sunset, we’ll be shooting in all conditions from rain, hail and snow to those rare blue skies. We’ll sleep when we can, when the light is at it’s worst.

I can guarantee you by the end of the week, you’ll be going home with new friends, great images but you’ll also be ready for a good sleep 😉
