You’ve no idea how excited I am by this! It’s been a long time in the making, but I’m finally excited to announce that my Astro Photography Workshops are about to get even better!
I’ve been able to secure a permanent room inside The Causeway Hotel where I can now run part of the workshop along with supplying freshly made tea/coffee & sandwiches!
I’ve been able to keep the price the exact same as before, but in addition to where my previous workshops where purely shooting, we’ll now start with an introduction session, onto a practical session and we’ll finish the night with a post processing session. Also now included as standard during Part 3 is fresh tea, coffee and sandwiches supplied by The Causeway Hotel.
During the Introduction & Post Processing sessions all presentations will be carried out on an overhead projector.
My astrophotography workshops will now be split into 3 parts.
Theory/Introduction Session (1.5 hours)
I will cover everything from the basics of shooting astrophotography to focusing, exposure, and white balance, to the more creative techniques such as light painting and star trails.
Practical Session (3 hours)
The practical part, this is where we’ll head down to The Giants Causeway headland, hopefully under a nice clear sky and you’ll be putting everything you’ve learnt in the theory session into practice.
Post-Processing Session (1.5 hours)
It’s one thing knowing how to take images of the night sky, but to make to those images comes to life we need to dive into the world of Lightroom & Photoshop. You’ll learn the basics of correcting your images in Adobe Lightroom and then we’ll take those images into Adobe Photoshop and learn how to make them pop!
In future workshops, The Causeway Hotel will be able to offer a small discount in accommodation, so if you’re travelling from further afield, why not make a weekend out of it!
Some of the nearby popular attractions include Giants Causeway, Dunluce Castle, Ballintoy Harbour & Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge – which I will be more than glad to help you in pinpointing them on a Google Map.
