When I started out in my photography journey just over 4 years ago, I always said to myself that I didn’t want to be a wedding photographer. I know that’s not the best opening when you’re looking for a photographer to document your day, but hear me out.
I photographed my first wedding at the beginning of 2017 for a good friends sister who unfortunately had terminal cancer. I documented the entire day from her getting ready in Foyle Hospice, to the ceremony down in An Grianan Hotel. To be asked to be the photographer for her special day was a great honor and privilege, a day full of happiness and equally full of emotion. I realised while photographing that wedding that I absolutely loved being part of it, I loved capturing the emotion, the happiness and I wanted to continue being part of other peoples special days.
I now photograph weddings because I simply love to photograph weddings. I feel privileged to be documenting someone’s special day, to be a part of it, to feel the emotion, meeting new people, and being involved in the bride and grooms big day.
